Notary Public

Who is our Notary Public?

Peter Tisdall is a Notary Public for the State of Queensland and is a Member of the Society of Notaries of Queensland.  Peter's signature and seal are also registered with the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Peter was appointed as a Notary Public in 1995 by the Court of Faculties in England under the guidance of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

What is a Notary Public?

A notary public is a person who has the authority and is responsible for certifying, when required, and witnessing documents intended for use overseas.  This differs from the services of a Justice of the Peace or Commission for Declarations here in Queensland who witness documents to be used in the State of Queensland.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes.  You will also need to bring with you to your appointment photo identification such as your driver’s licence or passport.

Is the service free?

No.  There is a fee charged for notarial services and this will be discussed with you at the time you make your appointment.  This fee is payable at the time of the appointment.  The Notary does not provide an account for his services however a receipt will be provided to you at the time of payment.
